Yes, at long last BigCommerce Is PCI Compliant – I am leaving the rest f the post in tact for future generations to learn from.

An announcement that Big Commerce is PCI-DSS compliant is imminent
Is BigCommerce going to be PCI Compliant?
According to a post on the official BigCommerce Facebook page they have passed all the test and inspections they are just waiting on the final report to officially announce PCI Compliance – let’s see shall we. I wrote more about BigCommerce PCI Compliance it’s worth a read.
Is Big Commerce PA-DSS Compliant?
As at May 2010, Big Commerce does not need PA-DSS compliance.
PA-DSS certification is not required for BigCommerce, as it’s an application developed in-house, installed on our systems. PA-DSS is for third party payment applications (such as our downloadable Interspire Shopping Cart product) that are installed on customer’s websites and is a set of compliance points put forward to help the developers of these applications develop secure web applications.Everything that’s in PA-DSS is also covered by the PCI compliance – you can think of PA-DSS as just being the separate things those third party app. developers need to do, that don’t relate to server/system environments and business processes.
